Learner Development Officer and IQA
Since qualifying as a dental nurse, I worked in both NHS and private practices gaining knowledge and experience in many fields of dentistry. I have completed my assessing qualification and Level 3 in Education and Training qualification.
I am passionate about helping learners to start their career in Dentistry and to achieve their goals.
In my spare time I like to spend time with my family, reading books and cooking. I am interested in a healthy lifestyle, and I like to experiment with food creating new recipes.
Learner Development Officer and Lead IQA
I started working for Dentrain in 2017, I have since gained Level 3 Assessing Competence in the Work environment, Level 3 Education and Training and Level 4 in Internal Quality Assurance Processes. I have worked in Dentistry since 2007 where I began my career as a Dental nurse.
I really enjoy my role at Dentrain and helping learners to achieve their goals.
In my spare time I like to go for nice meals out, spend time with my family and watch my girls play football for our local club. I am also an adrenaline junkie; I have a big bike licence have been known to sky dive and take part in track days.
Learner Development Officer
I have been involved in assessing, teaching, and training for more than 16 years and in this time, I have gained an intimate knowledge of delivery methodologies that benefit both the learner and the business objectives.
I understand the commercial pressures of a busy training provider and the quality and compliance standards that a provider must adhere to. I have experienced the education sector in various roles including delivery, compliance, quality, & department management. I have a high expectation of a quality provision.
My hobbies and interest include travelling, walking and the Lake District.
Learner Development Officer and ALN Tutor
I hold 13 years dental nursing experience in which I gained post qualifications in Oral Health and Fluoride and Decontamination. I have completed my Assessing and Level 3 in Education and Training qualifications.
I am passionate in supporting learners to achieve their goals in dental nursing.
In my spare time, I enjoy exploring new places, hiking, yoga and keeping fit.
Learner Development Officer
I have worked in a few different practices in my time as a Dental Nurse and really enjoyed my job role. I enjoy teaching new learners and hence I have had a wonderful opportunity to join up with Dentrain to train and qualify new Dental Nurses to a GDC and CQC approved standard.
My hobbies are spending time with my family and children and participating in different activities with them such as swimming, walking to the park, reading, and doing some arts and crafts. I also enjoy doing calligraphy writing in my spare time.
In my recent years I have been a participating parent working with BBC Tiny Happy People to encourage parents to use their website for ideas of play with children, scientific knowledge about babies and pregnancy and wellbeing of parents.
Learner Development Officer
I have been a dental nurse for 12 years and for the past 3 years I was a head nurse. I have worked with numerous dentists and at different practices. Within my role as dental nurse and head nurse, I have helped to train trainee nurses as well as newly qualified nurses and newly qualified dentists. As a nurse my favourite treatments are either crown preparation or a smile makeover, I enjoyed helping patients on their journey.
I hold a Level 3 Dental Nursing from City & Guilds which I gained in 2013.
In my spare time I like going for walks with my family and our German Shepard called Arya. I like to go out either locally or finding new places to explore. In the summer, I go camping with family and friends as well as spending time at the beach. I spend every Saturday morning watching my daughter play football and I support Bolton Wanderers, who I enjoy going to matches when able to.

Following gaining my dental nursing qualification, I went on to complete a qualification in dental radiography and sedation.
I have always had a passion for teaching others the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in dentistry.
In my spare time I like to go out walking with my dog, getting lost in a book and attending the gym.
Functional Skills Tutor
I began my career as a trainee dental nurse more than 17 years ago, I qualified as a dental nurse in 2007. During this time, I gained nursing experience within the NHS and in Private practice nursing during implant and periodontal surgery.
I hold the Level 3 Assessor qualification and Level 3 in teaching and education.
As a Functional skills tutor, my role is to teach students the knowledge and skills in order to sit the functional skills level 2 exam in Maths and/or English. This is an extremely rewarding role, the joy of seeing a student’s happiness when they gain a pass is just one of the many reasons why I’m so passionate about my job.
I enjoy spending quality time with my family & friends, going on trips abroad, running and reading books.

My name is Pam, I started work at Dentrain in 2013, this was part time doing administration. I had previously been an accountant for 20 years after gaining a Degree in Maths and Computing as a mature student. I then increased my hours to full time and completed a Level 3 Customer Service Diploma, Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the work place, a Level 3 Award in Education and Training and a Neuro diversity masterclass course.
I became the Functional skills and Cognassist tutor until 2021. As Dentrain became bigger and I was almost ready to wind down and retire, this was passed over and I am now head of recruitment for apprentices and funding, along with all apprenticeship paperwork and queries prior to them being signed onto the apprenticeship.
In my spare time I like to go to the cricket club at weekends and eat out, I enjoy holidays abroad and spending time with my family and dog.
I started working for Dentrain Professionals in 2013 and since then I have progressed to holding a Post qualification in Radiography, Level 3 Education and Training and Level 4 in Internal Quality Assurance Processes.
I am passionate about teaching and believe high quality education is vital in helping each learner reach their potential. My role is to prepare and support learners through the End Point Assessment process, a role that is extremely rewarding.
I enjoy going abroad for holidays, nice meals out, and watching football (mainly Liverpool).
Director/Safeguard Lead/Complaints Officer/Staff Recruitment
My name is Zoe and I am one of three Directors at Dentrain Professionals Ltd. I started working at Dentrain in 2003 as an Oral Health tutor and have progressed throughout the years to Lead Sedation tutor, Internal Moderator for NEBDN, an assessor and IQA for City & Guilds.
I am currently the company Safeguard Lead, Staff Recruitment Officer, Lead for ALN, and Complaints Officer. I hold a Level 3 Lead Safeguard qualification and Prevent Recruit qualification.
I qualified as a dental nurse in 1999, moving to complete the Certificate in Oral Health, Certificate in Dental Sedation Nursing, and Impression Taking. I hold a Level 3 Assessor and Level 4 Lead IQA qualification, alongside a Level 4 in Further Education Teaching qualification and Level 7 Award for Professional Recognition in Leadership and Management. I continue to be GDC registered.
In my spare time I like to socialise, go shopping and walk my dog.
My Name is Yvonne, I qualified as a dental nurse in 1981. Whilst working as a dental nurse I gained post qualifications in Oral Health, Teaching, Assessing, Accounts & Management.
I worked as an Oral Health Promoter for several years for the local NHS.
I am a director at Dentrain but have stepped back from the day to day running of the business. My role within Dentrain now is accounts management.
I have worked for Dentrain since 1992. I have previously held an examiner post for the NEBDN for several years and served time on the Quality Assurance committee. I was treasurer for the National Oral Health Promotion group for several years.

I like spending recreational time with my family and going away on holidays. I enjoy the odd cruise too. I enjoy having a good laugh and completing the numerous tasks on my bucket list.
Level 3 Principal Coordinator
I started my career, working as a Dental Nurse in 2005 and went on to gain qualifications in Oral Health Education and Sedation Nursing with the NEBDN. Throughout the time, it was clear my passion always sat with training new members of staff within the practice. This provided my drive and lead to me progressing to work at Dentrain Professionals Ltd in 2012 as a Trainee Assessor.
With the full support and backing of Dentrain, I was pushed to make the most of my abilities, allowing me to grow both personally and professionally, developing my skills and experience and leading to me becoming one of three Directors of the company. Along the way I have gained multiple qualifications to continue to enhance my skill set and understanding including: Level 4 in Further Education Teaching and education, Level 4 Award in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice, Level 4 Award in the Internal quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice and Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment.
My role within the company is to constantly work towards and develop the apprenticeship. This is in addition to managing and ensuring quality of delivery throughout, I am also the recognised safeguarding officer, holding the Level 2 Certificate. This is accompanied by me being the company Lead Careers Education Information Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) Officer whilst also holding a Level 2 certificate in this area. In addition, I also tutor for the NEBDN sedation nursing and oral health care duration course, both of which I enjoy teaching.
Outside of work, I am a fanatical football fan. I love watching my son play and am Club Secretary of a local, grass roots, football club. My love for football extends to being a season ticket holder at Manchester City FC. Away from football, I enjoy hiking and scrambling as well as playing netball for a local team. I’m known for enjoying being a host, cooking for family and friends, often of large numbers but I love having my house full.
